We are Patricia and Richard, proud owners of Windy Acres. With a beginning in 2001, we have become an exclusive Rocky Mountain Horse facility. And, although modest in size, our farm boasts Rocky Mountain Horses with foundation bloodlines and the puppy-dog attitude that the Rocky is known for.
Several years ago, we were fortunate to meet and become friends with the owners of Sunset Mountain Ranch and DG Smith's Farms. They, along with us love the old foundation bloodlines.
Our horses are cared for, groomed and trained daily. We feed Strategy feeds and quality hay when the grass is not plentiful. Each horse is cared for as if they were royalty and even the young foals are taught at a young age about leading, haltering, trailering, standing for the farrier and cross-tying.
Patricia is the Secretary for the Michigan Rocky Mountain Horse Club. The Club features many events including a Trail Ride Schedule and a Show Schedule. Please visit www.michiganrmh.com for more details!

Located in Allendale, Michigan, we at Windy Acres have seen almost every type of weather that is so well known to Michigan. The beauty of Spring, the almost unbearable humidity of Summer, the gorgeous colors of Fall and the crispness of Winter. We love it here in Michigan!
Trail or Show ready horses are occasionally available at Windy Acres. We pride ourselves in the quality of horse that we are able to make available and strive to find the perfect match for each individual rider.
Our goal at Windy Acres is to not only provide quality Mountain Horses but to make sure that each horse, before it leaves our farm, is the right "fit" for the person who will be riding. We would never sell a horse that is not suitable for the rider just to "make a sale".
