Our Beginning
Windy Acres had its beginning when, in 2001, we began our quest for a friendly, easy to care for, gaited horse. Off to the internet we went, searching several web sites all over the country to find such a horse. Much to our surprise, we found the perfect horse, a black mare, a mere 10 minutes from our home.
Mariah's Breeze
Mariah's Breeze was our first Rocky Mountain Horse. An in your pocket friendly mare with common sense and a gait that was incredible to ride. When we found Mariah, we also found an incredible family and friends at Sunset Mountain Ranch.
We camped with, trail rode and even went to a fun show with Mariah! She took everything we did in stride and really became a member of our small Windy Acres family!
